Introduction to my life and values

Welcome to my personal website, where I share my Christian beliefs and values and invite discussion on my views. I approach life from a Christian perspective, believing in God, the Bible as His inspired word, and its role in guiding us. Through faith, Bible study, and fellowship, we can grow closer to God and live lives that honor Him and serve others. I hold fast to the two great commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul" and "Love your neighbor as yourself."

In the Bible, love has at least four definitions, though modern English lacks this nuance. I'll explore these further, along with the different meanings of hate.

I want to focus initially on my beliefs about the moral decline in the United States. Over time, many have adopted a "live and let live" mindset, thinking "it's not hurting anyone" and "it's best not to upset anyone." I've shared this mindset, avoiding confrontation and leaving the "heavy work" to other Christians. My passive approach has, in part, contributed to this moral decline. For years, I've been concerned but only discussed it with like-minded individuals. I'm regretful for not speaking out publicly, as the LGBTQ+ community has gained credibility in the absence of opposing viewpoints. Silence often leads people to believe that controversial issues are acceptable, which isn't the case; rather, people avoid confrontation to live peacefully.

This non-confrontational approach has led to errors in society, such as removing recognition of God as the creator, forbidding mention of God in public schools, teaching sexual content to young children, and declaring same-sex practices as scientific. I'll expand on these as this blog progresses.

Feel free to respond, though I don't promise equal time for every viewpoint. I admit I'm not the best at expressing myself, but this is my platform. If you disagree, I understand, and I love you despite our differences.

As mentioned, love has various definitions, just as hate does. I don't hate anyone who disagrees with me.

Some biblical definitions of love include:

Agápē – The highest form of love: selfless, sacrificial, unconditional. It's the love God shows humanity and what believers are called to show others. Jesus exemplified this love.

Phílos – Often translated as "brotherly love," it refers to deep friendship and affection, like the city of Philadelphia, known as the city of brotherly love.

Storgē – Familial love, the natural affection between parents and children or among siblings.

Éros – Romantic or passionate love.

So love can mean many things, and people often confuse one meaning for another. The highest form of love is the love God has for us and the love we should have for God and each other, as stated in the two great commandments.

I will return to my beliefs soon, but for now, I wish to discuss some current LGBTQ+ (hereafter referred to as LG++) practices and philosophies as I understand them. In Philadelphia and surrounding areas, the LG++ community has made significant progress in promoting their beliefs. The federal government has supported this progress by funding LG++ initiatives and threatening sanctions against employers, non-profit organizations, and government entities. This is blatant discrimination, threatening sanctions as a tool to advance the LG++ agenda. Diversity questionnaires are now required as part of the employment process, always with terms like "non-binary" and "birth gender" that didn't exist a few years ago. These questions aim to favor LG++ candidates and discriminate against others, including those who are "straight," traditional, people of color, Native Americans, or economically disadvantaged. The corruption of the English language is another example of LG++ influence, with individuals using "they" and "them" to self-identify if they reject their God-given sex.

God assigns us a sex at birth, not by accident. God has a plan for each life, and individuals must accept the sex God has chosen. Not long ago, altering sexual organs wasn't medically possible, and "gender affirming care" was not a term in our language. The success of the LG++ movement has been facilitated by pushing God out of schools and personal life, a failure on my part and others who didn't defend our beliefs. We've allowed our values to be undermined, ignoring the evident danger.

Children are now taught that gender is a personal choice, free sex is acceptable, and they can seek counseling if confused. Counselors can suggest medication to halt puberty and even suggest surgery, calling it gender affirming care. I don't recall any public forum discussing the appropriateness of the LG++ agenda in schools. The separation of church and state has been misinterpreted to remove God from schools, yet teaching sexual acts to young children is accepted. This moral attack stems from the LG++ community's success in eroding society's moral foundation.

Where was the public forum to discuss whether "gender affirming" counseling is moral and acceptable? Where is the public scrutiny of this type of counseling and its practitioners? Why is it ok to spend citizens' money on medical procedures not resulting from injury or disease?
